Acura TL Trunk Broken?

Hello all,
I own a 2007 TL and this morning, when I went to open the trunk, it stuck. I had a great deal of trouble opening the trunk, and after several attempts, I had to pry the trunk open. It seems like the trunk is broken or at the very least a latch or spring. When I finally got the trunk open, it felt like dead weight and the trunk would not stay open.
As I was driving after this discovery, I could hear some loose parts rustling around in the trunk area. It almost sounds like a latch or a part has broke.
Anyone have suggestions or insight on this? This is my first incident with any car having trunk issues.
