Crysler Concord engine start up noise

Twice in the past six months when I started my Concord 98'it produced a loud knocking noise . The last time it lasted for about 30 seconds then it slowly went away and the engine purred like a kitten. It has a 3.2 ltr. engine. Has anyone had this prob.? I keep the car in the garage so it's not real cold maybe 30 degrees. I us Exxon Superflo 10W30 oil. Any help would be appreciated.

    Has the same oil filter been on the engine on both occasions? It could be the anti-drainback valve in the filter intermittently sticking open, allowing oil to drain from the top end back to the oil pan.
