Cadillac maintenance

Hello all, so here's the deal I bought the car with 35k miles on it 3 years old. Since then I have done no maintenance other than basic wear and tear (oil change, brakes, tires). I am now around 85k and decided its time to take the car in. My question is what type of servicing should I do and what should I avoid. I have had terrible experiences with my dealership in the past. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Check out the Edmunds Car Maintenance Guide. It'll tell you what needs to be done, when, and will even estimate what it should cost for your zip code.

If you've had terrible experiences with ANY shop don't go back! You might ask people you know to recommend a good independent. Stay away from the chains.

Probably time to change transmission, coolant and brake fluid and have the hoses, belts and other potential trouble spots looked at. If it has the Northstar engine make sure it isn't beginning to leak oil. If it is, I would dump the car.

Lastly, don't let anyone "flush" your transmission or "clean" your fuel injectors.
