FYI: For those of you who don't know but you've seen or had your "check Engine" light come on.. Here maybe what your issues is.. And once you learn this.. Best have it taken care of right away.
Over the summer we took a trip to WV mainly the New River Gorge area. Hitting several off road trails which offered a verity of conditions.. And driving nearly 5000 miles that week.. All just to have out check engine light come on upon arriving home.
Turns out that the code dwelt with the "Catalyst Efficiency System" doing our research.. Mind you we could drive several more weeks just as long as the check engine light didn't stay one constantly.. I found out that the State of Maryland has a law which indicates that is you get this type of code, it's covered for 8 years/80,000 miles.
Seeing that our 08 wrangler falls into this time frame.. We were able to get a brand new Cat system installed in our jeep:

Note: Image shows 4 Catalyst chambers (2 per side) and this setup is on 07 - 10 Jeep Wranglers. Newer Jeep Wranglers have the Fiat Engine which has a totly differant setup.
In other words.. We got a new Catalyst system installed in less that 5 hours "Free"
