Traction Control -Engine Power Reduced

This is very strange... took my G6 through the car wash yesterday and when I put it in gear to drive away the Service Traction Control and Engine Reduced Power Light alternating in the info panel along with the engine light and TC lights came on. I guess modern cars cannot be taken through a car wash?? The traction control and engine reduced power light stopped after 30 minutes and the car seems to be running fine, but the engine icon is still lit in the dashboard. Going over to Auto Zone later to see what's up. Anybody else experience this very strange event with their G6?
