speedometer problem

I realize this discussion has been going on for years!!! My trailblazer is a 2005, I bought it in 2007. I just started having this problem in October of 2013. I don't have the money to get it fixed right now, but I have been using someone's idea about the negative battery cable. That works for a few days or more. I am very upset that GM doesn't feel this is a recall issue. There are over 19 pages of people commenting on this and it should be an issue. I hope (maybe) to get an answer from my state representative to get this resolved before my inspection is due. This does have to be fixed because it is a safety inspection requirement.HaHA THanks for letting me VENT!
