Brake problem - 2007 PT Cruiser

I just had timing belt / water pump replaced a couple of days ago. All has been working well. I parked car in garage yesterday and when I moved it today, the brakes a hard like the booster is not working. I have checked fluid level and drove to end of road and back but no change. this happened with no warning. Thoughts?
