Hi,

I am in market for buying SUV and i was settled on Infiniti QX60 hybrid but after going through reviews and discussion forums i have seen people are complaining of MPG. Basically Hybrid is giving MPG of non-hybrid car. People are getting 15-20 but not 26. So i wanted to see if you guys are kind enough to post your MPG here if you have bought/lease QX60

Thanks
Navik

I finally leased the QX60 Hybrid today and had to drive 150 miles from the dealership to home, I was shocked by the average MPG of 18.5! I was driving 80 miles/hr though which might have contributed but I will give it another try in city and local highways as it appeared to average better on lower speeds (65 mile/hr)

    Hi Waddah0a,
I saw on the leasing thread that you asked for information in DFW area. What money factor did you end up getting for your lease and can you throw some light on Tax Credits you mentioned?
I am wondering between buy and lease for QX60.

Also Sorry to hear about mileage so low, did it improve in last week?
We took a test drive for QX60 and my wife did not like the hybrid because he heard a constant sound in the third row seat. Maybe of battery bank in storage compartment.

    Thanks in Advance.

If you won't better gas mileage DO NOT buy the QX60 Hybrid, it's a scam. I bought one in December 2013. After a few weeks of poor gas mileage and noticing that the Hybrid engine seemed never to be running, I took it to the dealer. The service guy told me that the Hybrid engine by design does not work when either the AC or heater is on! That's just about 99% of the time that I will be driving. Total nonsense. I paid an extra $3,000 to get the same gas mileage that the gas only version gets. There was absolutely NO nondisclosure from my salesman about the "unique" way this hybrid engine works, or more accurately does not work! No one would ever pay the extra $3,000 if they new the truth. What a total sham by Infiniti. They should be ashamed.

I have the QX60 Hybrid. Very disappointed in the gas mileage. I average about 19 for City. Don't spend the extra 3K.
    Also, this was interesting:
"Yesterday, Hyundai and Kia agreed to pay the US govt. a penalty worth more than $300 million for overstating miles-per-gallon claims for some of their popular models. It’s the harshest penalty the US has ever handed down for this kind of thing. Two years ago, Hyundai and Kia admitted they’d misreported by up to six miles-per-gallon on some cars and SUVs. And they’ve already paid for it – last year, the companies settled with annoyed drivers for about $400 million. Psst, they aren’t the only cars in the lot with some inaccurate numbers. Lots of other auto makers including Ford have admitted to overstating their cars’ fuel economy. But US officials won’t say whether they’ll face penalties too – just that Hyundai and Kia are the most “egregious” case." (quoted from The Skimm)

The Infiniti QX60 Hybrid should be on the list!
