Dodge Stratus - Invisible Clock

I'm not sure if I have a problem or not. I typically use my headlight whenever I'm driving even during daylight hours. Unfortunately on the Stratus turning on the headlights also dims the interior panel lights including the clock/radio. The knob on the stalk does brighten the odometer/transmission display but does nothing for the clock/radio which is nearly invisible. Is there anyway to fix this?

Have a Daytime Running Light module retrofitted.

I don't have an answer to your question (you'll see why) but was wondering if you could help me. We just purchased an '00 Stratus SE and don't have a manual. How do you switch to the clock? We currently only show the FM station. We have the base radio w/ cassette. Thanks for your help.

fsfunds53 - I have the same problem with my Canadian spec-98 Jeep GC. The DRL won't help, the electronics are just designed to dim out the interior displays whenever the lights are turned on. My guess is that the only fix is to override the dim control module, or really crank up up the brightness control.
