Why doesn't my radio/cd player not work?

I have a 2003 f150. The cd part of my radio/cd player stopped working. I took it out and have plugged in two used units but neither works. They don't even light the display as if it is not getting power.

Does the radio part work? Sounds like there may be a problem at the power connector and I'd guess that the radio doesn't function. I don't think the radio and CD have separate power connections.

Almost has to be a problem with the connector or a cracked wire.

I have found on some truck i worked on that there may be some wiring problems. And on others the radio part just stopped working. I know this is irrelevant but i have a radio in my house that is a five disc changer panasonic. It is about 5 years old. And the radio and tape player work but the cd part did not work. And i think it might also be wiring in the radio
