I have an 03 sports trac. I recently had the transmission rebuilt. The day I got it out of the shop it started running hot. I replaced the thermostat, thermostat housing and water pump. It ran ok but I was having to put fluid in at least once a week. It appears to be leaking at the transmission now. Have been told maybe a freeze plug, the leak appears to be at the bottom where the transmission is..... any ideas?????

What kind of fluid were you putting in? Transmission fluid? Oil? What color is the leaking oil? There are freeze plugs behind the engine but it is important to know what is leaking and narrow down where it is coming from. I once had a leaking valve cover gasket and it appeared to be leaking between the engine and tranny. Pressure wash the engine good, drive a little ways and check. Or let it idle and keep an eye out.
