Dodge Sprinter ignition lock cylinder
my 2500 ten passenger won't start, the key goes in but won't turn toward driver to the accessory position nor move forward away from the driver into the start position and can not roll up electric windows. The ignition cylinder seems to be stuck in the start position.
I took it into the dealership and they said it needs a new cylinder housing that needs to be ordered from Germany and will take three days to fix at a cost of $1,100 to repair.
How do I know I am not getting ripped off?
PS (the same dealership wanted to charge me 175 to use their diagnostic tools to discover the radio code and when I called another dealer out of the area who provided the information over the phone at no cost or obligation what so ever. Wonder why I have trust issues?)
