Audi A6 one piece caliper

Has anyone had experience using the one piece caliper with bracket built in, vs. the 2 piece, caliper separate from bracket.I changed the left rear caliper to the 1 piece type, and now am having a hard time bleeding air out of all lines. Or, could something else be causing me to have a soft pedal? Have changed the master cylinder, and the pedal still doesn't feel right. Goes near to the floor, but the brakes do still work. Any info?
