Dear All,

I'm new here and just move from oversea. I am looking for the new car to start my new job/living n Minnesota and I know it's gonna be a long long winter there which I do not get used to drive in the snow/severe weather yet so I am asking for your advice between this two models due to my tight budget.

  1. New 2014 Mazda 3 i-SV Auto 4 doors:

  2. Honda Certified Used 2012 Honda Accord LX 4 Auto 4 doors

Honda Accord is $1000 cheaper and should be cheaper for the insurance as well but Mazda 3 will be saver on a gas. Which one is safer in term of driving in the snow and the better pick in your opinion.

Thanks all.

If both cars have the same rated tires on them, the extra weight of the Accord will be an advantage. I'm guessing that the Accord might have a bit more ground clearance then the Mazda which will also be an advantage.
