Hello, new to the forums. I am a teen who is looking for a first car(I am not ready to buy yet in case you're wondering), and has a few questions. First, I am looking for something under $5000, easy to work on, cheap to insure, reliable, and it MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE AIRBAG!!! Here is my shopping list:

1993-2001 Subaru Impreza WRX-Fun to drive, cheaper to insure than a newer model.
2002-2004 Ford Focus SVT-These depreciated real quick, but are a fun bargain.
1980s-1990s Volvo(any model)-VERY tough cars, VERY safe and so on.
1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler-Only game in town for an off-road CONVERTIBLE!
1995-2004 Subaru Legacy/Outback-VERY safe, and very good in inclement weather.
1993-1999 VW Jetta/Golf TDI-Unlike the newer models, these VWs were very reliable and strong.
1998-2000 Honda Civic SI-Great fun and dependability for under $5k.
1997-2001 Honda CR-V-Based on the Civic, it's no doubt that this is a good choice.

Any other suggestions would be helpful!

An '04 Mazda3 might work but most are probably $1,000 over your budget. And you may want to add the Nissan Altima to your list to check out too.
