    Smart move on Mazda's part to model the system's user interface around a dial-shaped motion.

    Why wouldn't the driver just use the volume control in the steering wheel? That leaves the centre console knob closer to the passenger.

    Disagree. The interface on my handheld Garmin is much better than the one on my Mazda.
