Upgrade Stereo Options 2009 Mazda3

I've recently bought a 2009 Mazda3 which has a standard 3.5mm stereo plug in the centre console for Aux input. I know some of the newer models have a USB port for iPod connectivity there. I was wondering if anyone knew of a relatively simple way to upgrade to iPod connectivity (I'd like to be able to use the steering wheel controls)?
