2003 Infiniti gasket oil leak
Do I have to replace the valve covers as well as the gaskets for oil leaking onto my spark plugs? Some dealers say I should replace the valve cover along with the gaskets............because once you take the valve cover off the sealer won't seal again and Infiniti doesn't sell the sealer by itself.

If valve cover is warped or damaged whatsoever, it should be replaced. If valve cover is not warped/damaged, it can be reused. Dealerships like to be sure of these things and would want to avoid any risk from a tiny warp/nick/damage with the old valve cover. In my experience, dealer shops like to get the job done 100% correct on the first try, for whatever labor is involved, even if it involves more new parts than might be minimally necessary. I usually prefer that approach too. It does not surprise me that dealer would default to replacing the valve cover along with installing the new gasket.
