Lexus Rx 350 Body Style
Shopping for a 2015 Rx 350 Lexus--I was wondering how much longer the current body style was to be
in effect? Hate to by a model that will change next year! Thank you so much for any info!

Sorry, Steve, but that answer isn't correct. The 2015 RX350 (now being sold) is the same basic body that has been with us since 2010. There was a minor, mid-cycle refresh in 2013 that changed the grille, front bumper, and taillights. Current rumors persist that 2016 will bring a totally new RX, with 3rd row seating for 7 passengers, which means that the RX will grow quite a bit larger than the current model. There's a lot more info on 2016 models on some Lexus forums, but Lexus is not releasing much info at this time.

The 2015 RX 350 was redesigned mid 2014. That means it's a brand new design and you shouldn't expect any major changes for a few years - usually manufacturers either carryover the existing design or at most, do a minor cosmetic refresh for a few years after a redesign. An update (bigger engine or some interior changes) is possible but likely wouldn't affect the body style.
All bets are off is no one buys the redesigned model, but that doesn't seem to be a concern here (and it's pretty rare to have a "mid-cycle" model year redesign).
2015 Model Year Changes
Hm, "The timeline is based upon our best estimated projections in relation to the manufacturer's historic model lifecycles and current industry news."
Guess I need to ask the editors to update that link.

Thanks!
btw, car manufacturers can drive you crazy with this stuff. We are shopping and I kept pushing my wife to hold off on a Prius V two months ago because a "redesign" was supposed to happen for the 2015 model Prius - to be introduced this fall. So I managed to delay the new car purchase for the time being (we need something bigger for a while longer anyway). Now the latest is that the regular Prius will be "all new" for 2016, and who knows when the V actually will be updated.
Gotta love the rumor mill.
