    Not sure I would care. I would expect plastic buttons in anything short of a Rolls or a Bentley and even those have plastic. I would also prefer the metal trim to more plastic. If anything, the contrast would stand to highlight the upgraded trim.

    I guess this kind of stuff is highly subjective, because I have the exact opposite feeling about the steering wheel. The metal is aluminum, BTW.

    I have an Audi A8L, considered to have one of the best interiors of any car. The steering wheel has the same number and type of materials on it that the Corvette has. Maybe the author is just looking to post something negative? I don't get it...

    I don't get why this is a big deal for you. Ever seen the Ferrari 458's steering wheel? Or the Lamborghini Aventador's? Heck, the Aventador has all those three materials PLUS Alcantara. Crazy. I know. Haha. Most exotics use a mix of metal, leather, and plastic on the steering wheels. Maybe you're too used to a Toyota's full plastic?
