Chevy 97 Blazer Backup lights blinking

I have a 97 Blazer AWD and when the right turn signal is on the backup lites flash also. I do not know where to start looking for the problem. I do not know if it is related but my trailer lites that used to work now do not.

    Re my 97 Blazer backup lites flashing, the left turn signal works ok but hazard lites do not. I will swap out the flasher units when I get a chance to go out in the woods to my spare Blazers.
