Chevy Camaro electrical issue

I am having an issue that when you turn the steering wheel on a 2000 Camaro, it will shut the stereo off and while there is no power to the stereo the power windows will not work either. thinking it might be a short somewhere or.... does anybody have any idea what may be causing this issue?
