Courtesy lights that brighten up the area around a vehicle before you get in are really starting to catch on, and the ones on our Ram are some of the best I've seen.

    I like how GM vehicles also turn on the backup lights when you unlock the doors. Considering that you usually approach your car from behind this is a pretty smart move.

    @allthingshonda: Yeah, I like the additional illumination, but I don't like the reverse lights coming on in parking lots as approach lighting... That's a function that should send a clear signal to another driver (Hey! I'm moving backwards and might not see you), rather than confuse people.

    I agree with you on this one. Why don't car manufacturers just include more perimeter lights all over? They can't cost that much. How about lights literally around the entire car so you can see the ground at night?
