    That's a pretty big fail. If you had been critically low you could have run out needlessly.

    That is one really annoying aspect of COMAND's POIs that has always annoyed me. For some reason, the distances to them are sometimes given "as the crow flies". I've had the same thing happen where I have selected the "nearest" gas station only to find that it takes 5 miles to drive there even though the station was listed as being just 2 miles from me when I started. That isn't helpful! Eventually you get used to selecting the POI you want and double-checking the distance before you actually click the navigation start button. Once you select your POI it updates the distance based on the route you actually need to take. Still, that shouldn't be necessary.
