    Maybe I'm going out on a limb here, but I don't feature this car as BEING a daily driver, Ed.

    Sometimes Edmunds is so Total California it's a little scary.

    @fordson1, I agree, in a way. This is an "R" car, as in "Racing". To me, that entails a stiffer suspension, aggressive seats, more power/more aggressive engine and transmission mapping. Just an overall more visceral experience that obviously doesn't walk hand in hand with daily drivability. Kind of a "d'uh" moment looking at it from that side.

    On the other side of things though, Jaguars are expected to be a little more comfortable and upscale. I therefore don't begrudge Ed for letting us know that going to the "R" moves it out of typical Jaguar territory, via hard seats. I can easily see a prospective buyer, unsure about which F-Type to get, gleaning useful information from this post.

    For taller drivers the fixed headrest hits you right between the shoulder blades at the base of the neck - not comfy.
