Beverage Bus - 2014 Toyota Highlander Limited Long-Term Road Test

Americans love big cupholders and The 2014 Toyota Highlander offers many creature comforts and amenities, but none more pleasing to American coffee drinkers than its super-sized cupholders.

Ah, but does a Big Gulp fit?
You should tell your friend:
1) Give up on car stereos / navigation. You're already 2+ years behind.
2) Knobs/dials for climate control, not buttons.
3) 2 USB's and 2 12V outlets is the minimum.
Width is important, but equally important if not more is depth. The cupholders in my 1996 Taurus SHO were wide enough to hold a 1.5litre water bottle, but they were so shallow that even thinking about coasting much less actually applying the brakes or turning the wheel caused whatever was in them to crash to the floor.
Yes tell your friend to go to his supervisors and suggest that cars no longer need stereos. See how that works out for him.
These cup holders are way to wide. Water bottles, normal sized kleen kanteens, etc wobble like crazy here. Maybe fatsos with big gulps find the cup holders perfect. I doubt yoga moms have anything larger than a 16-22oz life factory bottle.
