ouch. if you dare run the engine, maybe locate the exact position of the knock by using something as 'stethoscope'. but it's probably best to open it up and inspect whatever/whomever is knocking. running the engine could be damaging it worse, so maybe best not to start it again (?) . i wish i could imagine a way to surmise how the problem could be merely a bad $27 windshield washer pump, but i just can't do it, cuzy.
