    31.9 MPG is pretty good, but I expected better. My 2013 Passat 2.5 five-cylinder will do 32-33 MPG hauling my family and our gear at 75MPH across the hilly terrain of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. I expected the new 1.8 turbo four would have beat that.

    Agree with IAMTHESTIG. My 2013 2.5 with a 5sp manual get's 34-35 fully loaded at freeway speeds 75+. on country roads I have averaged 38 cruising at 63.
