Ugh...I'm dealing with a slow leak that I took to my (normally reliable) local tire shop, and they made it into a marginally-slower-leak. But at least my OEM tire is a cheapo non-runflat that I can replace for maybe $120 if I really need to. Oh, and I can put on a spare if I get into real trouble.

If BMW insists on run-flat tires on all their vehicles, they really should help with the supply. Sorta' like the way Tesla insists on electricity and subsequently grows a supercharger network.

Same story here. Slow leak, couldn't find a replacement anywhere. Had to drive 300 miles over the weekend so took it to the dealer and they gave me a loaner for 3 days. All for a flat tire! But no complaints about the service. NOTE - there's a 1-year road hazard policy on the tires, so replacement was free!

$400 bucks installed is not a bad price. My F30 335I tire is $600 each.

i would ditch run flats in a heartbeat probably as soon as i drove it off the lot but i probably would not buy a vehicle without a full size spare or at least a doughnut sorry bmw but trying to increase fuel efficiency or space by ditching a spare is just about the dumbest idea i have ever heard.

Tire Rack has these in stock, in their Nevada warehouse, and would have had it to you in 3 days for ~$265.00

Tire Rack has the Pirelli Cinturato P7 in 225/50R18 in stock for $189. A local garage would install it for $30. You need to find a new tire shop.
