How to get alternator out of engine compartment on 2007 Kia Sportage.

PLEASE. PLEASE. I have removed the alternator from my 2007 Kia Sportage, but I cannot get the alternator out of the engine compartment. Don't refer me to kiatechinfo.com because they just say to "remove" the alternator. Of course, they do not say how to remove the alternator from under the hood.

Someone out there must know how to do this. Please help!!
