We've had our 2014 Note (with CVT) since late May, and just finished about 600 miles of vacation driving from central PA across to northern NJ, down to AC, across the ferry at Cape May down into southern DE, then back up through the Lancaster, PA area, Harrisburg, and back home to State College. The computer-calculated mileage on the trip was 39.9 MPG, which matched my calculation of 39.93 pretty much exactly.

It's SO nice when you can trust the gauges on a vehicle! I still prefer a manual tranny, but the CVT is performing well through the first 8,000 miles

I quit tracking mpg with my gas log (and my wife hasn't complained once). It's fun to get real time mpg as you are cruising too.

And yeah, you're getting about 14 mpg better than my Grand Caravan. :p Pretty impressive numbers, Sneakers.

Yea, you have to be careful about "chasing the needle", but it is interesting when that instantaneous mileage number pegs at 99.9 B)

I don't keep a gas log anymore either, but I do the quick calculation at the pump and use mpg as a gauge of the health of the car. Any sudden significant change gets me on alert. Usually turns out to be a fillup variation, but if it persists to a second tank, something could be going on.
