My son is moving off to college, four states away. Why not drive him in there in our long term 2014 Kia Cadenza?

Doesn't your son have a whole bunch of crap to take along? I would have picked one of the trucks or 3-row crossovers.

I moved all my stuff home Junior year in a 1972 Super Beetle and senior year in a 1977 Ford Fiesta. Both were packed to the gills and there was 0 visibility out the rear window, but I carried it all.

"I'm not a pop-the-hood-of-a-car kind of guy." You should be writing for the regular Edmunds sections, then. We here at What's Hot ARE pop-the-hood-of-a-car kinds of guys.

Good luck with a sedan...when we move my daughter to and from college it requires a Honda Odyssey (with the center seats removed) AND a BMW X3 to move everything. Maybe it's a boy v. girl thing?

miata52, definitely a boy girl thing. I helped move my nephew and niece back to back last year. My nephew's stuff filled half of a Mazda Cx-9. My neice filled the CX-9 and a small trailer. As she said, "i need my stuff"!
