95' Dodge Ram 1500 V8 Magnum Problems

I have a 1995 dodge ram 1500 and when I get in it and start to drive it whether it be in reverse or drive I have to keep my foot on the gas and the break or the vehicle will die and i will have to start it again if i let go of the gas at any point the rpms will drop all the way to 0 where it will either die or jerk the vehicle and go back to the normal rpm resting spot. Can anyone help me?
