American Honda Motor Co. will replace the bumper beams on approximately 12,000 2015 Honda Fit hatchbacks that were sold earlier this year. As a result of the modification, the 2015 Fit earned a 2014 Top Safety Pick award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.

    Thank you for the up-to-date information. Earlier today, Thursday August 21, 2014 some other unrelated bloggers were quite alarmed. I'm now figuring out how to accurately and reasonable present the information to my wife. She purchased a 2015 Honda Fit in mid-June 2015 as we reviewed it in comments herein on Edmunds dot com.
