Can anyone help me? - Ford Explorer problems
I'm a single mother of three young kids and I am having issues with the only transportation I have. When the father of my kids left he told me that I needed to have the oil changed that's all I did that then a few days later my front driver side tire started to shake when making left turns so I had thought maybe the luggnuts were to tight fixed the shaking then my rear tire got flat so I put on the spare which are not the same size as my other tires now my 2002 xlt v6 explorer is driving funny it makes a howling sound when coming to a stop and when I push the gas it won't go at the speed it normally would and shakes sounds like I'm flying a jet plane! I really need advise as to what to say to the repair shop cause I don't want to go in there not knowing and they stick me with a bill that I cannot afford!
If anyone could help me [Email removed] I would gladly appreciate it.

Well, first of all: tight lugnuts do not cause shaking, improper wheel balance does, as does bad wheel bearings, and warped rotors (brake disks). Sounds mostly like a bad wheel bearing but since it's been happening for so long there may be other problems. However, it is hard to say definitively without more description, and some visual checks.
