Jeep Grand Cherokee battery light on new battery and humming noise

I have a jgc limited with 5.7 he I its an 06 I have had so many problems witht his car not starting clunking dying now after I have replaced can and crank sensors battery starter throttle body couple of control modules and still this car won't act right I was driving today when the battery light decided to come on and also car says service 4 WD system? Lights outside and in flicker spontaneously and leave abs and air bag lights on any suggestions? My car is driving me mad :(

    Think I'd be checking battery cable connections and having a perhaps longer the normal load test done on charging system. Strickly guess might be alternater isn't where it should be on supplying power.

    I agree with ray80. Take a voltmeter (you can buy one for under $15 at many discount stores) and test the DC voltage while the JGC is idling. Place the red and black test wires on the positive (red) side of the battery and the black on the negative post. It should read between 13.8 and 14.8volts. If it below or above those numbers you have a bad alternator. Also, take off the battery clamps and clean the inside of the clamps and the battery posts with sandpaper, tighten the bolts very firmly.
