    Better power output than previous generation V8s, maybe 20% cheaper - affordable is a hilarious thing to say, but relatively, it's not the worst deal. These cars cost that much 20 years ago, in raw dollars.

    Still a boulevardier for wealthy older folks or stepford wives, too big and heavy to be sporty (like every SL since 1972), but can be a bruiser at AMG spec.

    funny, SL meant super light. youve gotta give them credit though, these weigh considerably less than a BMW 6-series.
