Transmission interchange - 2003 Chevy Blazer

I have a 2003 blazer 2/2003. I bought a tranny out of a 9/2003 blazer. the shift plate had different wiring connections so I put the the plate off of the old one on it. now the transmission will not go into any gear. does anyone know what the problem is?
