Aftermarket Roof Racks

I have a 2014 Grand Caravan that does not have a roof rack. I want to install a roof rack opn my van. The aftermarket roof racks I have seen have a metal clip that clamps over the door gasket at the top of the door fram of the sliding doors. My concern is that over time the roof rack clips will tear or deform the door gasket causing excess wind noise or allow water to leak. I'm interested in hearing about experiences other owner's have had with these aftermarket roof racks to see if you have had issues with damage to your door gasket due to installation of an aftermarket roof rack.
