The average fuel economy for new cars sold in August reached a record high of 25.8 mpg, according to the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute.

Well after all the whining from people that want the USA to bow down to OPEC we now have cars that get great mpgs and as as fast as hell to boot.... Now if only 5 foot tall men would stop buying monster trucks to commute to their office jobs by themselves.
