5.4L engine and component problems

I have been having trouble with my truck misfiring, and have been doing research on it as well as replacing a lot of parts. There seems to be no end. the more I research the more I find that this particular Ford engine and the original components are simply letting people down. 
It is the "#1 Engine" of Americas "Number one truck", from 2004 until 2011 when they replaced it with the new and improved variant 5.0.

That is 7 years of mostly fault ridden product that Ford will not stand behind and recall.

So if you own or previously owned a truck with this engine and had issues with it or the components used by Ford please share.
NOT A RANT. PLEASE NO ARGUMENTS BECAUSE I LIKE MY TRUCK BUT FORD CANT FIGURE OUT WHATS WRONG AND IM TIRED OF SHELLING OUT THE MONEY FOR THEIR GUESSES.
