Gas mileage and reliability if you still own a 2002 Ford Explorer Sports Trac

I'm looking at buying a 2002 Ford explorer sport trac with 189000 miles.....any comments from those who own one? My wife is concerned about the mileage. The truck in mint condition. Rfultz where did you find G force chip? Was it hard to install and are still getting better milage?.

If gas mileage is a concern you really need to look elsewhere. Our Explorer used to get around 14 MPG. Reliability is spotty. Not horrible but not the best especially with those whopping high miles.
No chip is going to make much of an improvement if any on gas mileage.
