Transmission vacuum line or sensor. No power engaging transmission. Nissan Quest.

When I start my van then put it in drive there is little to no power. I can drive but no shifting occurs and it revs the engine just to get the vehicle moving. I'm thinking vacuum line or some type of sensor because this happens intermittently and when the engine won't start up quick as normal. When the engine does start quick as normal the vehicle runs perfect. Any suggestions on what it is and how I can diagnose?
