MINI Cooper Convertible with electrical issues

Went to the car, clicked the button on the key, car unlocks. I then sit down, put left foot on the clutch, turned key and nothing. Dead, dead, dead. Gave it a minute, then I tried again and it was fine. Tried to play with the windows and the top and some things worked, some things didn't until after a few minutes, then I was able to close windows and the top.

What's going on? Thanks in advance.
