Original owners of a 2005 Accord EX V6 with 65k miles, otherwise in really great shape.... But lately the airbag light doesn't go away as do the rest of the warning lights upon startup. We're driving the car w/o the protection of the driver's airbag.

Before approaching my dealer, Is this a known issue? Should it be repaired under warranty?

Thanks...

Check the fuses - an auto parts store may be able to pull the codes for free.

There has been an airbag recall on certain Hondas but you'll have to search the NHTSA to see if your Accord is included. Or ask your dealer to check.

I did check, the airbag recall was something to do with the airbag exploding with too much pressure and some flying shrapnel, or something to that affect...

The error code was 61, which relates to a faulty Driver Seat Belt Buckle Switch, something that many Honda cars have been affected by. Surprised it didn't show up till now... Dealer repaired for free "under warranty."
