Another idiotic naming strategy likely cooked up by some over educated, over paid consultant. Like Acura and Infiniti, this is stupid all day long.

With the arrival of the flagship sedan in the near future, hopefully the XTS will be retired. The XTS always seemed like just a "placeholder" for a true luxury flagship. Also, the somewhat awkward physical proportions of the XTS have never resembled those of the more graceful ATS and CTS sedans, perhaps due to the GM corporate front-wheel-drive architecture.

I guess Elmiraj or Eldorado or Biarritz just weren't cool enough.

Looks big though, and it needs to be.

The guy in charge of Cadillac is the one who changed the naming convention of Infiniti when he was in charge.

Why not just give it an emoticon? Letters and numbers are cold and faceless. Names of Cadillac's endured the years, El Dorado, Sedan de Ville, Coupe De Ville, Fleetwood. Those names stood for luxury, they meant something. "Interior by Fleetwood" was well renowned. Why dilute what so many aspired to own?

Looking forward to see the ct6 when its in dealer lots. I have a 2013 Cadillac xts with premium trim pkg. I have my caddy for 2 years now and looking forward to lease end. The car is a big disappointment. The ride quality is horrible with no ride comfort at all. Not even a nice sporty feel. The ride is choppy and when going over bumps the car crashes down with no dampening at all. The turn signal noise should be in a cheap 1990"s kia along with the clunky unrefined gear shift lever. I hope Cadillac is putting the ct6 in refine school before selling it to the consumer

Hey Cadillac Listen up. When building the ct6 avoid using the same parts bin as the chevy spark ok. I say that because you guys totally missed the boat on the xts. The ct6 should not have a cheap unrefined clunky gear shift lever like the xts has or cheap unrefined sounding turn signal sounds like the xts has. The ride quality should be paid special attention to

My lease is up in 2015 on my CTS Coupe and was really hoping for another only a V this time. Just read where there won't be a coupe. Really disappoints me. A CT6 coupe would be nice. If not, I guess I'll have to switch to a Corvette Stingray.

Not crazy about the new naming either. Why do we have to follow the "other guys". Cadillac names are icons and we should keep them.
