Looking to buy a new car under $55,000

I want it to have some space so it needs to be a 4 door. I also want it to have some horses behind it. So I want it to be fast. I was looking at a couple cars; bmw 335i and a cla 45 amg. Problems I had were the bmw generally looks very alike all bmws and doesn't really stand out. The cla is very nice looking but got bad reviews in terms of the transmission. Any thoughts on these cars or any other cars on the market??
