    So when no one is in the car it has a clean sleek look, then when you start it a needlessly complicated vent rises from the dash.

    How much will that cost to fix once it breaks after 5 years of ownership? Maybe for the typical Jag customer this doesn't matter, as they get new cars before the warranty runs out. But for people like me who want/need cars to last 10-15 years, useless gimmickry like this probably doesn't help reliability.

    Not only silly but the only purpose is to make the car's interior look better when you're not in it than when you are. Actually, that's not true. The purpose is to give the salesman something to show you when sitting in the car on the showroom floor. You are amazed by trick, buy the car and from then on, these overcomplicated vents are your problem.

    If it's like my XF, you can program the vents to remain open. Which I will do when I'm out of warranty!
