Despite not implementing a recall, Ford has had so many reported problems with their 6 spd DCT, that they have extended power-train warranties to those effected to 7 yr/100K miles. Had a co-worker with a 2012 Fiesta and the transmission caused the car to miss gears or even stall on the freeway. After Ford fixed the problem, it happened again, which again they fixed for free. However, since she was completely frustrated, and even though she only owed about 5K on the loan, she traded in the Fiesta for another manufacturers car.

This is a great time for people looking to buy a GOOD new budget sedan. There are strong choices coming from Japan, Korea, and the US. Not so many years ago the compact segment was an afterthought for US automakers. Back then there would have been 1, maybe 2, A-rated cars, a fews Bs, and the rest Cs.

Civic under 20k after fees out there door yeah right. Automatic is over 20k as far as I can tell. Why do these lists always look so badly put together??
