  • Did the car's fuel receptacle give anymore refueling problem (such as that happened approximately six months ago where one of the editors' got into an unpleasant experience when the fuel pump at a gas station was unable to automatically refuel because of the "flimsy" rubber materials used around the fuel receptacle of the Passat TSI)?
  • Do those lights on the dashboard stay on all the time? The DRL and whatever that other green light is? Dashboard lights should only come on to alert the driver of a problem. My parents' Lexus hybrid has so many lights on the dashboard that stay on all the time, and I hate driving that car- "Ready", parking sensors, among others- It's really distracting and not at all necessary, especially the DRL light!

I'm still new to Las Cruces but it's about halfway between you and Austin, and I should be able to recommend a decent place or two to grab a bite . Don't suppose the Passat could flat-tow the Miata out here so you could leave it with me for a while? I can return it in December. :)

The DRL light does stay on all the time, in daylight of course!
  • Am I the only OCD type who gets a warm feeling from a full fuel gauge?
